Geophysical methods are increasingly being used for forensic investigations and cultural resource (archaeological) investigations in support of construction permitting, historical assessment, and insurance investigations. Geophysical methods are non-invasive and can be extremely helpful for evaluating historical sites quickly and for guiding intensive excavations by targeting subsurface features of interest. Collier’s wide range of archaeo-geophysical investigations include sites in the upper Midwest which were candidates for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places, surveys of historic cemeteries in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia, pipeline corridor assessments in Virginia, and  forensic investigations include ground penetrating radar, electromagnetics, and magnetic surveys.
